A gentle beginning for your child’s lifelong relationship with the natural world
We are honored to welcome families to our newest offering: the Village Nest Nature-Based Infant Program, serving children 12 weeks to 2 years old. This program grew from the heart of our community—originally founded by a beloved family member within our Village Nest network—and we are proud to continue its legacy with the same warmth, trust, and high-quality care families have come to expect.
Our infant program weaves together the foundational elements of responsive caregiving with the magic of nature-based learning. Even our youngest children benefit deeply from consistent routines, nurturing relationships, and gentle experiences outdoors. Here, every moment—feeding, diapering, resting, playing—is an opportunity for connection, communication, and discovery.

Our Philosophy: Nurture, Rhythm & Nature
Infants learn best in environments that honor their natural rhythms. We follow an individualized approach, allowing each child to eat, sleep, and explore according to their own needs.
Inside our infant space, you’ll find:
- Natural light and soft materials that create a grounded, peaceful atmosphere
- Open-ended sensory experiences using natural objects
- Cozy, responsive caregiving that supports secure attachment
- Calm, predictable routines that help infants feel safe and understood
Outdoors, your child will experience small, developmentally appropriate moments in nature—daily stroller walks through the woods, tummy time in the sunshine or shade, listening to birds, touching grass, or exploring textures with gentle guidance. These early experiences build sensory awareness, strengthen developing motor skills, and nurture curiosity.
